1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Sandplay Assistant ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
Sandplay Assistant is a mobile application designed to support sandplay therapy sessions by helping therapists track, organize, document, and reflect on their therapeutic work. The App provides tools for session documentation, AI-assisted phenomenological analysis (Aman Structural Scheme), multi-session comparison, and client schedule management.
Important Disclaimer: Sandplay Assistant is a tool to support therapeutic work but does not provide medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice. The App is not a substitute for professional healthcare services, diagnosis, or treatment.
3. Medical Disclaimer
NOT MEDICAL ADVICE: Sandplay Assistant is not intended to provide medical, psychological, psychiatric, or therapeutic diagnosis, advice, or treatment. Any content, features, or AI-assisted analysis within the App are for informational and organizational purposes only.
If you are experiencing a medical emergency, mental health crisis, or require professional healthcare services, please:
- Contact your healthcare provider immediately
- Call emergency services (112 in Europe, 911 in the US, or your local emergency number)
- Contact a crisis helpline or mental health professional
Do not rely on Sandplay Assistant for medical or therapeutic decisions.
4. Subscription Service
4.1 Subscription Plans
Sandplay Assistant offers premium features through subscription plans. Subscription details, pricing, and available features are displayed within the App and on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
4.2 Auto-Renewal
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. You will be charged through your Google Play or Apple App Store account unless you cancel the subscription.
4.3 Cancellation — Android (Google Play)
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Google Play account settings:
- Open Google Play Store
- Go to Account → Subscriptions
- Select Sandplay Assistant
- Tap "Cancel Subscription"
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will continue to have access to premium features until the subscription expires.
4.4 Cancellation — iOS (App Store)
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings:
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad
- Tap your name → Subscriptions
- Select Sandplay Assistant
- Tap "Cancel Subscription"
Alternatively, go to App Store → your profile icon → Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
4.5 Refunds
Refund requests for subscriptions are handled by the respective platform in accordance with their refund policy. We do not process refunds directly.

4.6 Premium Features
Premium features are available only to active subscribers. Access to premium features will be revoked if your subscription expires or is cancelled.
5. AI-Assisted Analysis
The App uses artificial intelligence features powered by Amazon Bedrock (Claude model by Anthropic) to provide phenomenological analysis of sandplay sessions. By using these features, you acknowledge that:
- Session photos and text you submit for analysis are transmitted to Amazon Web Services (AWS) for processing
- AI analysis results are for informational and organizational purposes only and do not constitute a clinical or therapeutic assessment
- You are responsible for the appropriate use of AI-generated analysis in your therapeutic practice
- AI processing occurs in AWS eu-north-1 (Stockholm, EU) region
6. User Content and Data
You retain ownership of all content you create or store within the App ("User Content"). You are responsible for maintaining backups of your User Content.
We are not responsible for any loss or corruption of User Content. You acknowledge that:
- You are solely responsible for your User Content
- You will not store illegal, harmful, or inappropriate content
- You grant us a limited license to store and process your User Content solely for the purpose of providing the App's services
- User Content stored via cloud backup is encrypted and stored on Amazon S3 (AWS eu-north-1)
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or hack the App
- Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
- Share your account with others
- Use automated systems to access the App
- Store content that violates third-party rights or laws
- Process client data in the App without having a lawful basis under applicable data protection law (e.g. GDPR)
8. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, features, and content (excluding User Content), is owned by Sandplay Assistant and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the App without our written permission.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND
- WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT
- WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES
- OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SUBSCRIPTION IN THE 12 MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties or limitation of liability, so the above limitations may not apply to you.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sandplay Assistant, its developers, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the App
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your User Content
- Your violation of any third-party rights
11. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the App will cease immediately.
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device.
12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the European Union and applicable national laws of EU member states, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR — Regulation (EU) 2016/679), without regard to conflict of law provisions.
If you are located outside the European Union, local mandatory consumer protection laws may also apply.
14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
